Regenerative Medicine and Heart Transplantation

The RETRACAR group is dedicated to the study of cardiovascular disease from different approaches ranging from preclinical studies in cell therapy and tissue regeneration to clinical studies focused on cardiac electrophysiology, rescue angioplasty and valvular and aortic pathology. The group is composed of 36 members, including professionals in the area of ​​cardiac surgery, pediatric cardiology as well as basic researchers and support technicians. The group belongs to the National Network of Cell Therapy (TERCEL) and the Associated Unit for Cardiovascular Repair at the Prince Felipe Research Center (IISLAFE-CIPF).
