Cell Culture Unit
The services currently offered by the Cell Culture Unit to research groups are listed below. However, researchers may request other services not included in the list or adapt the existing ones according to the needs of their research projects.
- Supervision of the correct operation and management of the use of the self-service facilities of the Cell Culture Unit.
- Training of personnel in cell culture techniques.
- Coordination of the cleaning, disinfection and sterilization programs of the Cell Culture Unit equipment and waste management.
- Analysis and management of microbial contamination. Detection of mycoplasma by quantitative PCR and decontamination of cell lines.
- Preparation of culture media, laboratory materials and solutions under sterile conditions for experimental use.
- Advice, acquisition and routine maintenance of continuous cell lines.
- Establishment of primary cultures (fibroblasts, keratinocytes, PBMCs, etc.) from animal or human tissues at the request of the investigator.
- Development and fine-tuning of cell culture assays at the request of the researcher.
- Cell metabolism analysis using the Seahorse XFe96 Analyzer.
- Providing services to PROs or companies under established agreements.
