IIS La Fe EXPO PCT consolidates itself as a benchmark forum for its Scientific and Technological Platforms
The event highlights the role of Scientific and Technological Platforms as a driving force for biomedical research.
Researchers emphasise their impact on project development and on the improvement of clinical practice.
La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe) has held the 3rd EXPO PCT, an event that is consolidating itself as a reference space to showcase the potential of its Scientific and Technological Platforms (STPs) and to foster collaboration in the field of biomedical research. The meeting, which reached full capacity, brought together researchers, healthcare professionals and representatives from various organisations in an environment aimed at knowledge exchange and the generation of new synergies.
One of the most notable aspects of the event was the active participation of researchers, who highlighted the added value that the platforms bring to their daily work. Throughout the programme, the different STPs hosted exhibition spaces where they showcased their capabilities, services and equipment, creating a dynamic environment of direct interaction with attendees.

In addition, the event included short presentations and meetings with the platform teams, allowing participants to learn about specific cases of research project support, resolve queries and explore new collaboration opportunities. This format fostered close and practical engagement, enabling researchers to quickly identify resources and technologies that can be incorporated into their work.
Overall, these interactions highlighted the key role of the platforms in facilitating access to advanced technologies, optimising resources and time, and accelerating the development of innovative projects with direct application in healthcare.

During the opening session, IIS La Fe Scientific Director Pilar Nos highlighted the consolidation of this initiative in its third edition and emphasised the strategic role of the platforms as enablers of more collaborative, efficient research with a tangible impact on health. The event also featured the participation of Deputy Medical Director Vicente José Campos, who stressed "the importance of integrating research activity with clinical practice, relying on infrastructures that allow knowledge to be transferred into improved patient care." For her part, the Director General for Research and Innovation, Mariola Penadés, highlighted "the key role of Scientific and Technological Platforms as structural elements of the R&D&I system, capable of generating collaboration opportunities and enhancing scientific excellence in our environment."

Scientific and Technological Platforms: a key driver for impactful research
The Scientific and Technological Platforms of IIS La Fe provide specialised services throughout the entire research process, from initial stages to clinical application, fostering more competitive and results-oriented research.
The high level of participation and interest generated in this third edition consolidate EXPO PCT as an essential meeting point for the health innovation ecosystem and as a key event in the IIS La Fe scientific calendar.
Through initiatives like this, IIS La Fe promotes excellence, collaboration and knowledge transfer, with the aim of advancing biomedical research and its impact on public health.
