IIS La Fe launches a new edition of the Innovation Wednesdays to promote innovation and knowledge transfer in healthcare

The Health Research Institute La Fe (IIS La Fe) launches a new edition of the Innovation Wednesdays, a series of sessions aimed at researchers and healthcare professionals with the aim of providing tools, knowledge and opportunities to promote innovation and facilitate the transfer of research results to the healthcare sector.

The 2026 edition will feature seven sessions, taking place between 30 September and 25 November, and will offer a practical overview of the different stages that an idea or scientific result can go through before becoming an innovative solution with potential for application.

The programme will address some of the main current challenges and opportunities in healthcare innovation, including artificial intelligence in healthcare, Public Procurement of Innovation, early-stage idea validation, the use and reuse of health data, the valorisation and funding of scientific results, European opportunities for internationalisation, and collaboration with companies.

Through the different sessions, the Innovation Wednesdays will provide practical tools to help researchers and professionals identify opportunities, assess the potential of their ideas and results, learn about funding and technology transfer pathways, and approach the different stages of the innovation process with greater confidence.

The programme will feature experts and professionals from IIS La Fe itself as well as from organisations specialising in innovation, funding and technology transfer.
